We don’t usually get real butter and in fact haven’t had it for a long time.. more than a few years.  But the man fancies it once in a while.. .so we are enjoying our real butter.  But having said that.. butter or margarine is no biggie to me.. i’ll make do even if i donch have it.  Unlike my food for home.. i probaby will kill for it..?? hahaha!! joking.

After that storm that snowed us in.. we went back to work.. to collect some stuff at the post office.. from last week.  We didn’t get to collect it.. because the weather was just too bad.  What an awesome surprised to receive a package of food gift all the way from Australia and from a blogging friend.  These bloggers are so wonderful.. and selfless.. they are so kind hearted and generous.   I have to send something back to her .. but what can i get her..??  something for her two gals.. i think.

I do love sandwiches.. but there is only so much one can eat RIGHT..?? on a daily basis. I have a piece for breakfast.. and another piece for supper.. i think the other meals can do without sandwiches right..?  But what else can one eat in this town..??   not very much to choose from if you asked me..  *sigh* ..  when can i go home..??  these sandwiches donch sux.. but i definitely don’t want to eat them everyday.

Simple joy is moments like this.. eating sambal scallops.. and a taste of home.  Thanks to my blogging buddy Barb… who in many ways .. had made my life a bit more joyful.. while I am in Canada.  The food turned out really good.. and i had some left today for lunch.  I am keeping some more for tomorrow.. hopefully it last a little longer.

Saw this at the mall .. the other day.. but it wasn’t the right size for my kid.  But i bought it anyways.. one because it was so pretty.. and secondly.. the kid wanted to get a present for her buddy in Malaysia.  So we sent it out today.. and hopefully her buddy from Malaysia can get to wear it.. and show her .. how pretty she is in it.  It’s amusing to see my kid .. being not selfish at all.. and wants to send the dress .. to another friend of hers.

If she saw what i was doing to cook food.. or any kinda food for that matter.  But practicality is necessary .. when you have to watch for your jobs online… and have a kid to look after.  For me.. i think it is a smart invention .. and the chinese has too much rules and regulation .. and superstition.

I wanna be versatile ..like most of my food blogging friends.. but a pasta is a pasta.. and chinese noodles is chinese noodles.. you can’t really make do eh.  Maybe it is time to go home for a visit.  I think i just miss home a lot.  And i think if i were to go home with my kid.. i wouldn’t care to come back ever.

Torn in between doing what i want and doing what is right.  I’m at a crossroad at this moment of my life.. and I wonder if i had valued extended family so much.. that i missed out in my own life. .or to make a better life..??  Should I make changes now..?? before i regret not doing it …?? will the man be able to adapt..??  will i be making the wrong decision ..??

Many years ago, i would have no qualms in buying this phone immediately and looking all stylo malo in it. But the today me.. i do away with things that are frivolous. .and cost me money . .that i don’t need to.  The today me.. lived for my daughter.  The today me.. knows all about savings.  Is it a good thing.. ?? or did i just gave up my life for “love”.  What did i get outta love..?? Yes..! a daughter.. !!
