Lots of snack places like this around this town. . and like this one. is freakishly expensive. Ice cream cone was like $2 for one. Can get quite expensive.. when you eat with the whole family. Can you imagine.. having 3 kids.. a wife. .and a dog. Yup..! ex..!

When one is so far away from home.. you try and grasp onto anything to remind you of home, the family, friends.. and anything familiar. You try to bring home to where you are. Comfort food like this pineapple rice.. is a norm back home. .but not here. Everyone misses home.. but i miss the food alot too.

We don’t have cows back home.. or rather.. we don’t see them so freely in the fields. I’ve always been fascinated by them.. and everytime we go to my in-law’s place.. we see them all around the neighborhood. I love watching them graze the grass.. and always shout in delight.. to my daughter.. “cows..!! cows..!!” The man having grown up around here all his life.. thinks i’m crazy to be so fascinated by cows. Well.. i’m pretty much a city gal.. and he is a country boy.

This is how she looks at things. As innocent and as cute as she is.. she sees things quite differently from kids her age. Into photography.. and never misses a chance to take pictures.. along the way.

Halloween may be over .. a good few months.. and the next may not be coming for a few months still.. but in my daughter’s eye.. well.. Halloween should be an everyday affair.. so she brought the pumpkin home from the store.. and played with it.. every now and then.. to remind herself.. and us.. that she can have Halloween anytime. Such joy to be a kid eh.

These ducks used to come by our old house in Fairmount Street when our daughter was first born. The man said.. someone must be feeding them.. because he had seen them alot of times. Sometimes.. we see them crossing the road.. and the cars stopped for them.. it’s too cute.
